About this app

Remote-RED gives you mobile access to your Node-RED dashboard at home. It creates a tunnel between your home network and your mobile device.

Remote-RED extends your Node-RED a lot more. The following functions are already possible:
- Access to your Node-RED Dashboard
- Access to other websites in your local network, as long as they meet certain requirements (see terms of use).
- Push notifications from Node-RED to your mobile device
- Answers to questions in push notifications that trigger actions in Node-RED
- Widgets to trigger actions in Node-RED directly from your Android home screen
- Trigger actions on Node-RED by geofencing the smartphone

Remote-RED is financed by InApp purchases. I put a lot of work into this software and I operate several servers for the remote connections. Remote-RED is not designed for industry customers, through which many similar projects are financed. It is designed for private use and therefore has to been financed by these private users. Please take this into account before you complain about it.

Ratings and reviews

Everything this app does can be accomplished for free in another more secure way. I would not trust some third party servers from a small developer to access my instance. You should be setting up a VPN and accessing the instance via that instead. Even if this Dev can be trusted there is always the possibility his servers get compromised which then leads to your instance being compromised. You do not need an app to load a web UI. Load it in your browser.

Great app for remote view and control of your node red application. the push notification is what made me swap to this from an old 3G text relay. really simple to implement. took just minutes and I can add any notifications I want. one downside is I find it quite slow sometimes? maybe add a UK server?apart from that all good Thanks update: very slow please advise on this. Also no other way to contact for support!

Amazing app! Subscribed for a year. Works great for push notification from local rasp pi node-red instance. The Remote Dashboard only works for me with wifi. Maybe my mobile provider T-mobile is blocking the ssh tunnel? Let me know if you have a solution. Also, is there a way to delete comnections on the main menu?

What’s new

- Notifications that arrive while Remote-RED is running in the background play the configured sound again.
- Connections to Home Assistant can be used normally again.
