BiggerCity is a dating service for gay men of size (Chubs/Bears) and their admirers (Chasers). A global community; BiggerCity offers a fun and accepting space for big men and their admirers to flirt, connect and socialize.

I've been wanting to get a membership but literally the only thing holding me back is the inconsistent notifications. I almost never get a notification sound and banner notification when someone messages me. Maybe one day out of a month it works as intended. I've never encountered this issue on growlr, scruff, or grommr, etc. Additionally sometimes when refreshing within the app there will be an icon next to the inbox indicating there's an unread message when in fact no one has messaged.

No matter what I do to delete this app, the icon keeps showing up on my phone. I will have the app completely uninstalled, and presumably the cache cleared, but the app icon (minus the blue background) will occasionally show back up on my recommended apps (which I have turned off), and the only thing I can do is install and uninstall the app to make it go away for about 24 hours. I have a Google Pixel 7, please fix this it is driving me insane.

The basic setup is fine and the various tabs and pages seem to work okay. The app rarely gives me notifications when I get messages or flirts, making it difficult to hold a conversation. The online/offline notifications are so off that they aren't useful. The app tends to lose connection rather often.
