Go Long Beach is designed to provide Long Beach, CA residents, businesses and visitors the opportunity to access City Hall, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere. You will be able to submit service requests for issues such as graffiti, potholes and sign damage. Select your issue and attach a picture to interact directly with your City. Submit requests anonymously, or create an account to keep track of all of your submissions. You can even see requests submitted by others to know what is happening in your neighborhood. Go Long Beach is also now fully available in Spanish, Khmer and Tagalog. Download Go Long Beach today and help make your community a better place!

I certainly hope the city did not pay too much for this version of the app. When attempting to download the app to my computer I am informed it already installed. (it is not to be found anywhere) It then informs me that it is 'available for my device' (my phone) Options for reporting issues are limited and too generalized. When an option is chosen it takes several minutes to 'load' What links for common reports are provided are not links at all. The old app was straightforward and quick. It should not require 15 minutes of fooling around to report to the city. 1 issue I wished to report is a junk vehicle / undrivable on our street. This does not appear to be possible with this app.

I like the old one better. The old one I can see all the requests I made instead of seeing everyone's requests without making an account. This one takes forever! I click on the selections and it doesn't always select what I want. I checked up on the one I submitted and it still didn't have any update. The old one always had an update the next day.

It would be really simple to have one's personal information (1st name, last name, email, phone) saved in the app (if the user is not submitting anonymously) but no, we get to run through entering our own info over and over again, every time we do our civic duty to send in something that needs attention. Why not ask the user if they'd like their info saved locally, in the app, for future reporting. This feels like a method to limit use of the app... but who knows.
