About this app

The NMS Connector is aimed at electricians who install smart meter gateways (SMGWs) or communication technology for smart metering (e.g. BPL modems) on behalf of the network operator or metering point operator. The aim is automatic integration into the network management system and documentation of the installation process.
The different device types to be installed (LTE, BPL, CDMA) can be selected in the app. During commissioning, the geo-position and photos of the installation are recorded and transmitted to the NMS. The integrated installation instructions can be used as an aid. In addition, the electrician receives feedback on the successful commissioning of the device in the form of latency and signal quality / trace.
If there is insufficient cellular reception at the installation site, the data collected is temporarily stored in the app and can be transferred to the NMS at a later point in time.
