💾 I created a character and Saved or Exported it. Where do I find the files?

Since the latest changes in Android 10, applications are now only allowed to write data into their respective data folder. To find your saved file simply open your phone’s internal storage and locate the Android/data/com.overheadgames.epicgenerator/files/save folder.

👩 But what is ePic Character Generator in the first place?

ePic Character Generator is not a game. It is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to create realistic character avatars in no time. You can simply choose what items to display on your character, save as an image on a preset or transparent background, and use it for anything you would like to. You don't have to worry about lighting or finding the right camera angles, as everything has been prerendered and post worked for you, so creating characters is really just a matter of clicking some buttons! Using the Portrait package you can even create hand-drawn style images very easily.

👨🏿 Who uses this software?

The software is mainly used by role-players to illustrate their player and non-player characters, but don't have the resources to create or buy many unique characters that fit their needs. The option to save the images as tokens and cards simultaneously even reduces the work needed to use the pictures in a session moments after they've been created. The characters can be saved and loaded using our custom file format, which enables an easy way to manage character progression, as changing little details are quick and convenient.

👹 I need character images for my projects, can I use these commercially?

The generated images can be used in commercial products as well. You may find card games, board games, and books illustrated with the images created by ePic Character Generator.

This app is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I had some issues with navigating the website and with the app not resizing properly for my phone, but I contacted the developers and they worked with me to identify the cause of and resolve these issues, with a patch for the fix coming out soon. Overall a great experience so far. 1 con: I do find the packs overly subdivided and the idea of buying the amount I will likely need is daunting, but it's worth the money.

Seems ok, but not optimized for phone. Logging on to correct account is dodgy, and requires typing very fast, before Google Authorization kicks in all the way, I can't seem to get all the packs to work together, (trying to do an elf sorceress) and save and logout aren't working for me. And stupid tutorial keeps coming on. Probably be great on a computer.

It has great potential to be an excellent app but unfortunately I've already had issues with it when trying to open files that I both downloaded to my phone which is the Android Moto G Pure and my SD card. Unfortunately when I went to open the files after trying downloading both ways I had no luck whatsoever. I've contacted the developers with a solution to the problem and am in the processing of hearing back from them.
