Ratings and reviews

The app is very good and easy to use but there is a nagging issue; on the home page, sole and joint account balances are added together to give the total savings. However, strictly speaking, only half of the joint account balance belongs to each party (where there are 2 account holders). This can lead to the joint holders thinking they have more savings than they actually have when combining their totals e.g. for budgeting. Also it doesn't state in the app if an account is a joint account or not

The new Skipton By Invite app is appalling. It's Impossible to open. In the various processes of agreeing to terms, providing new passwords and entering new codes, the app disappears and the whole process starts again and again and again... I gave up after eight attempts. Time to close accounts with this Building Society. Life is short.

is someone up in the higher echelons of Skipton HQ trolling us with this app? why are we going backwards with technology at Skipton when every other building society manages to make their stuff look vaguely pretty on the eye and enticing to old and new customers alike. first impressions should usually matter, a lot! This app is so ugly (the font&colour) and inflexible compared to the streamline version of the old app, people will download this absolute abomination and be immediately put off.
