Have you ever wished you could allow a notification from a specific app act as an alarm and bypass silent mode and do not disturb (DND)? Now you can.

Alertify allows you the choose any app on your device, and turn it's notifications into alerts. Users can also setup conditions around these alerts, like an alert time window (one or more), and key words (one or more) being present in the content of a notification.

Alertify uses the same system permissions as you alarm clock does, so you will not miss an alert notification, even with your device on silent or DND mode.

The original use case was for home security. I wanted to be woken up if any of my Ring camera's detected a person during the night. For this I needed a specific time window for when the alarm should trigger and to be able to detect the keyword "person" in the notification to avoid simple motion detection. When these features where implemented it was clear that this could have many other applications.

this app does not work. I have been trying to get a longer notification sound for my Nest doorbell (Google home app) instead of a short regular one. I tried many permutations of key words, I changed my app permissions to go through DnD, and it didn't work even when I had do not disturb turned off. Good idea, but poor execution, in my case at least.

Absolutely perfect. Using this with Wyze to make sure I get sound alerts for when a person is detected by my pool. It's a defcon type alert that ignores any phone silencing, so you can't miss it now. Plus, filter it based on alert text. In the case of Wyze, I filter for "person" detected. Thank you Dev for an awesome simplistic app.

I like it but it's rather limited. It works as advertised though. The alarm plays when sound is set to quiet or DnD is on. However, the app lacks the ability to set your own (or any) alarm tone! It just reads the keyword and some other bla bla and that is not sufficient. For now I left 3 stars, hoping to see personal alarms at one point. Until then it's useless to me.
