APFWA - Agroforestry Promoters & Farmers Welfare Association (Technosavvy Consultancy Services) is Promoting the Same.

APFWA - Agroforestry Promoters & Farmer's Welfare Association (Technosavvy Consultancy Services) is a Group of Farmers and Promoters involved in Promoting Agroforestry.

APFWA - Agroforestry is the interaction of agriculture and trees, including the agricultural use of trees. This comprises trees on farms and in agricultural landscapes, farming in forests and along forest margins and tree-crop production, including cocoa, coffee, rubber and oil palm. Interactions between trees and other components of agriculture may be important at a range of scales: in fields (where trees and crops are grown together), on farms (where trees may provide fodder for livestock, fuel, food, shelter or income from products including timber) and landscapes (where agricultural and forest land uses combine in determining the provision of ecosystem services). APFWA is Promoting the Same.

APFWA - Agroforestry is agricultural and forestry systems (Technosavvy Consultancy Services) that try to balance various needs:
1) to produce trees for timber and other commercial purposes; APFWA Supports.
2) to produce a diverse, adequate supply of nutritious foods both to meet global demand and to satisfy the needs of the producers themselves APFWA Supports.
3) to ensure the protection of the natural environment so that it continues to provide resources and environmental services to meet the needs of the present generations and those to come, APFWA Promotes.

APFWA - Agroforestry involves a wide range of trees that are protected, regenerated, planted or managed in agricultural landscapes as they interact with annual crops, livestock, wildlife and humans. APFWA Supports the Same.

APFWA - Farmers have been growing trees on their farms for generations to maintain healthy soils, secure food supplies and for timber and fuel, the practice of agroforestry has been declining sharply in India in the past few decades. Hence APFWA is Promoting Agroforestry.

APFWA is Promoting Agroforestry which is currently practiced on 13.5 million hectares in India, but its potential is far greater. Already an estimated 65 per cent of the country’s timber and almost half of its fuel wood come from trees grown on farms. Hence APFWA is ready to Play a vital role.

APFWA - Agroforestry is also viewed as a means to reduce rural unemployment, with timber production on farms currently generating 450 employment-days per hectare per year in India. APFWA is Committed to Solve Unemployment Problems also.

The climate change mitigation and adaptation benefits of agroforestry are also a significant driving force behind the policy & APFWA is Committed to Serve in this Sector.
