Bright Sky Italiano is a free, downloadable mobile app that provides support and information to anyone who is in an abusive relationship or worried about someone they know.
The app is available in Italian, English, Spanish and French.
Functionality:
A unique national directory of support services specializing in domestic violence. You can contact the one closest to you by phone from the app, by searching by area name or zip code, or by using your current location.
The secure My Diary feature, where you can record incidents of violence in the form of text, audio, video or photos, without any of the content being saved on the device itself.
Questionnaires to test the safety of a relationship, plus a section to debunk myths about domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Information about domestic violence and the various types of support available, advice on how to improve your online safety and help someone you know if they are experiencing domestic violence.
Advice and information on sexual consent, stalking and harassment.
Contact details for national helplines that provide support to victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse throughout the country.
Links to resources and additional information on topics related to domestic violence.
Please note:
* If you feel in imminent danger, contact 112 immediately.
* For your protection, we recommend that you only download the app on a device that you feel safe using and that only you have access to. Fill out the questionnaires only if you are in a private place, preferably alone, so that no one is able to influence the result.
* Before using the app's My Diary feature, make sure you have an email address that is secure and that no one else has access to. If necessary, you can create a new one.
* For confidentiality reasons, most of the addresses listed in the FIND HELP function are those of the relevant local government or municipal office, and not of the organisation. You can contact them by phone.
* Please note that all calls made will appear in your phone\'s call history and on the payer\s bill.
* The questionnaire "Am I at risk?" in the app is designed to give you an indication of signs of potential abuse in a relationship, or, in the "Relatives or friends at risk?" section, in the relationship of a friend or relative. However, this shouldn't be taken as the only indication of the health of a relationship. If in doubt, we always recommend contacting your nearest support service or finding out, in the Bright Sky app, how you can help someone you know.
It is important to be aware of your own safety when using Bright Sky. Only use this application if you feel safe.
