For the first section that was available, I think it was pretty beginner friendly. There's a daily tracker to remind you to practice, but I don't feel like it's overly pushy. That's about as far as I got, however, because the sections following all seem to require making a subscription payment. I'm just starting out, why would I give money to something that I haven't even used for a week? I understand there's probably a lot of licensing and legal stuff, but it's still unfortunate.

so this app was amazing back in the day but now it's just pushing you to subscribe. used to play the guitar and just needed something to get the muscles back in shape. if you are a complete beginner sure pick up the app. but after the basic intro you won't get far as it will demand you pay to move further. my best advice is to just use the tuning feature if you don't have one irl and switch to youtube. there are numerous channels that are dedicated to getting you started with chords anol

Another app that tricks you into downloading it without telling you is a subscription based app. It hides the $135 subscription fee after your 7 day free trial by including it in the "in app purchases". In app purchases is generally considered to be extras. Like gold in a game, it armor for your pet whatever. Not the monthly or annual subscription fee! That's should be address by itself, not lumped in with all the various random charges that can be applied.
