The "Ignatian examen" application offers support in examen prayer, a traditional Ignatian prayer with more than 500 years of tradition. More than 30 different exams will help a lovingly reflective look at the past day. The application allows you to choose from thematically different exams that will allow you to see God's presence on a normal day. The Ignaciánský examen application was inspired by a book by Marek Thibodeaux SJ, which is also published in Czech by Refugium.
The goal and purpose of this prayer is to learn to see and perceive God's presence in our daily lives, in the past day. Just as a relationship with a friend is built by sharing life, joy and sorrow, so a relationship with God is built by sharing with him the joys and worries of the day. This is what the Ignatian exam teaches us.
In this prayer, at the end of the day, one looks at the elapsed time and reflects on the relationship with God. It is not a moral exercise, a search for one's own mistakes or failures, but a reminder of God's touches over the past day, God's call, and whether and how we responded to them. Naming our own attitudes and emotions, the dynamics of the relationship with God, leads to a deepening of communion with Him and teaches us to understand the language He speaks to us in our ordinary day.
