Fantastic app and super responsive, if you can get it to work. I downloaded this app in order to speedrun some games on a virtual machine, where global hotkeys do not function. This app provides precisely to that purpose, allowing me to still run livesplit from my base PC, while still keeping the VM Game in focus. Some extra inbuilt troubleshooting would be super helpful for this kind of application (if you are struggling, spend about 10 minutes learning about port forwarding and you should be good!) I would also love to see an option that would allow you to switch between comparisons, though not required, would be a nice addition. Overall, great solution if you are looking to speedrun a game where the global hotkeys are disabled.

Thank you for the nice review. I currently don't have time to update the app anymore, so new features are for the unforseen future. I found out for some computers, phones and network configurations the most basic socket.connect() method fails and I just can't find out why, even with forwarding. That's why some people here complain, understandibly.

why Is it so hard to find a good livesplit app? this one needs your IP address and seems really sketchy, also I read a review saying you need a computer, the whole point is to use this on phone! edit: I do see what you mean, but if I try to use the website I would still need a computer because I cant split it without exiting the game I'm running then hitting split or stopping the timer, sorry if I sound dumb but this is how I see it.

You can try to use the "LiveSplit One" website for a timer without using a computer. This app is only a remote, that is its whole purpose, so it needs LiveSplit to run on a computer. The IP address is the way this app can communicate with the computer. If you find this sketchy, feel free to look at the app code on Github, this app is open source.

A phone app to control certain aspects of live split that are less used, such as changing comparison or timing method would be useful, but it dosnt support that. How ever it does allow for undo and skip, which is a little handy. Wish you could customize the layout a bit more or have it show your actual splits with your background image and everything. It works, but not as feature rich as I would want it

Thanks for the feedback! Custom layouts were planned, but I currently don't find the time to update this app on my own. Background image and displaying all splits could be difficult, as the Livesplit server currently does not support the requests for it.
