When you select/click on app(s) it takes you to the app info screen of selected app(s); from where you are to select "Force Stop" in order to close the app.
Closing an app implies that you are aware that all the background functionality (service, periodic task, event receiver, alarm, widget update, push message) of this app will not be functional until you/your action(s) open the app again.

Ratings and reviews

I have been using this app for many years on Android TV, it is very useful to free up RAM and quickly shutdown apps. However, I do not like the new UI as it feels cluttered. Can you please bring back version 1.2G? That is the best version in my opinion, it is very simple and fast, and I like the UI layout. Also, in the latest version, it keeps saying I don't have the Amazon App installed... but I am not using an Amazon Fire device.

I used to love this app as it gave me full control over what I wanted running and what I didn't - quite often increasing device speed. However a recent update saw the introduction of full screen viruses (The delusional call them advertising) which now means that frequently, the app freezes with a black screen on start up when it fails to download said viruses. The only way to get rid of the black screen is to do a reboot of the device. It is beyond ridiculous!

What happened to you, my trusted friend? It appears one of my intentional or non- intentionally downloaded apps is causing havoc with your ability to stop background apps from operating. I am writing this just to alert you of this problem. You have been a faithful friend for a very long time, and I am hoping that you can get through this, but I understand that everything comes to an end. Please come back!
