Discover the history of iron in the Ouzom Valley in a fun way.
--A unique heritage in Pays de Nay--
The history of the steel industry in the Ouzom valley has been recognized since the 16th century. It does not focus only on the site of the Angosse forge but well beyond, on the scale of a seigneurial domain including buildings, resources, land and rights. Discover the development of the exploitation of this iron ore from the extraction of the raw material to the delivery of the finished product.
This visit tells you about the emergence of new communities in the valley founded around this economy and offers you a reconstruction of the furniture and technical tools of this heritage considered as an essential ancestor of metallurgical production in our territory.
--An immersive reconstruction—
Thanks to the production of 3D images and scenes, this immersive visit takes you back in time from today to the most important period of activity and production of the Angosse forge. You will pass from the silent and abandoned remains to the stifling and rumbling heat of the hearth and its hammer where workers with rare skill for their time were busy.
You will be able to explore the site by navigating between augmented reality and 3D scenes using points of interest marking a key stage in the ore transformation process.
Parents and children will acquire knowledge through small games validating each level of iron production.

--A scalable application—
The accessible content can be enriched and developed directly by the Community of Communes of Pays de Nay, as manager of the tool. It is the progress of research and projects around the history of the Ouzom Valley, which will allow the system to be kept up to date.
The application is available in French, English and Spanish in order to respect the European framework set by the Cultural Route of the Iron Route in the Pyrenees label.
