About this app

There's a new beta version of this app available in the developer profile page.

This engine simulation uses engine size, RPM, tune parameters (fuel consumption, boost / vacuum, etc) and estimates horsepower for a given weather combination.

Answer questions like "how much horsepower will a 302 V8 make with 10 PSI boost at sea level vs the top of pikes peak"

Sorry, it isn't a game. It's a calculator.

Use it to predict 1/4 mile times and see part sizing for exhaust headers, fuel pump and injectors and throttle body or carb for the given engine combination.

Get a horsepower rating estimate for your cylinder heads and cylinder head + camshaft combo based on the CFM rating of your cylinder heads.

Thanks for understanding this is a project that gets very little development time. A new version is being developed all feedback on this version is appreciated.

Hey, I.saw in the reviews that there may be a different app in the works with more active development? Is this still the case? I'm just beginning my career as a mechanic and want to play around with entering my daily's stats.

There is! There should be a link on my developer profile page or motorift.com/engine look for the beta version. This app estimates horsepower from engine specifications and suggests part sizing (throttle body, exhaust, fuel injectors, etc) hopefully it's what you're looking for. Thanks for trying the app.

It's very intuitive, allows for planning ahead, while researching parts, and how they'd effect the vehicles performance.

Very very incomplete list of demo cars, not one Corvette demo. 1985 Chevrolet Corvette - 5.7L / 350cu in. Building new engine transmission and a differential. Engine final cu in will be 383.

Thanks for trying the app. It does need more demo engines! What year Corvette do you have? Maybe I can add it. The Camaro equivalent generation might be enough to get you started though. It's easier to enter custom engine info on the website if you have a desktop computer, the app isn't quite as easy to use.
