With the UT app you can:

Keep in mind that all nature walks happen at your own risk and that the app is only intended as an aid. You cannot trust that you have coverage everywhere and be aware that using GPS on the phone can greatly reduce battery life.

Use maps and compass when traveling, it always works. See also the Fjellvett rules at https://ut.no/fjellvettregules. They help you plan and conduct a fantastic trip - which is also safe.

Ratings and reviews

The idea of this app plus its content is just amazing and worth 5 stars. But, the amount of small issues and lack of usability is what makes it lacking. For ex., it's been impossible to create lists and/or add routes to lists, even to the default one in the app. It's such a simple feature, and the fact that it fails is frustrating. Also, the filtering options are very limited. Ex.: I was suggested more than 1000 trips in a search, but I can't filter by hours, distance, days, and difficulty.

App is very useful, but I always had trouble downloading offline maps. There seems to be a limit on how many maps you can have stored. But now, even after deleting old maps and trying to download a very small one, i always get an error no matter how many times i click "prøv igjen" The search function could also be better since sometimes you get a lot of results with same name Even after reinstalling the app, the problem with offline maps persists. I am using app "Hvor" as a plan B

Upt. 2024: the app is now not working properly, some tabs/links are not opening. E.g. I cannot click on stoppesteder or goigle maps tabs. It is a good and usefull app, but it only shows one default huskelist even if you have several others. And sometimes huskelist gets emptied, not sure if this is app or website problem though. Upd.: Now the huskelist is working fine, and I can see all of them in the app. Not sure of something was fixed, but it is all good now.

Nå skal karttypene Topokart og Gråtone fungere som normalt igjen! I tillegg har vi fikset en kjedelig feil som gjorde at appen kræsjet for brukere med mange SjekkUT-besøk, samt fått på plass visningen av Mine turer igjen.
