CHIRP Radio is Chicago's premiere source for great independent, local, and all around good music, curated by hosts who are passionate and knowledgeable music fans.

With the app, you can tune in to the station and do so much more. Favorite the songs you like, check out upcoming CHIRP events and add them to your calendar, listen to podcasts and get reminders about upcoming CHIRP happenings like our Factory Sessions performance series. You can even send requests to the DJ.

Ratings and reviews

Great music selection; I've discovered a lot of artists through Chirp. However, the app has some issues. Whenever I disconnect from a bluetooth device, the audio continues playing on my phone speakers which is pretty inconvenient. Playback can be choppy, and continues where stopped while abruptly jumping to the live stream. If these issues were fixed, it would be perfect. Also, it would be nice to have the playlist viewable on the app.

Music does not play. Icon is spinning forever. I have used the app to lookup the song names on Deezer or Spotify, but I'd like to actually listen to the music and DJ from the app. Bummer. Using OnePlus 8 Android 12

Great Radio to listen to! If you like different music, a bit punk leaning, not all the same, and hard to pigeon hole type music, this is for you. For all others; this is for you too!

Fixed: Resolved an issue preventing playback on newer Android versions.
Temporary Changes: To expedite this release, the playlist functionality and the ability to favorite and view favorite songs have been temporarily removed.
