needs English translation of place names and also be able to search English place names in the search function especially under "tourism". other then that awesome considering wifi is not widely available without a personal wifi device

This map is very useful when you have no data connection. It works good on location service only. very nice alternative

No, you can't search by address unless it's within its very limited database, and English support is weak
