The updated app is awful. It has crashed four times in the last 20 minutes of this listening session. Since I updated it a couple days ago, that's been the average. It just stops playing the livestream and you have to hit play again. Very annoying when you're listening hands free! I'm reading your responses to other year-old reviews, touting the update. The previous version didn't crash nearly as much for me - maybe once every 2-3 hours. This new version is nearly unusable now though.

Great app... If only it didn't constantly freeze, crash, and generally work like craps. I've been a financial supporter of the station for over 15 years. Why do they do this to us???? Put out one malfunctioning app after another? 10/1/2019 Update: I was able to use it relatively problem free on my Samsung Galaxy 8. But now that I upgraded to a Samsung Note 10, it's pretty much useless again. Plays for about 20 seconds and stops, no matter what I do. Updated the app, still keeps stopping!

Thank you for your feedback. We recently released version 3.0.12, which fixes the vast majority of streaming issues and crashes experienced in earlier versions. When you have a moment, please update to the latest version on the Play Store.

WOW! i didn't think it could get any worse. i was wrong. the update that arrived this morning is even more horrible than the last. i've been listening since 7am, it's now 8:53 and it has just stopped streaming...gone silent, 6 times since i opened it. KaKa. if i could take away the single star and leave it no stars i would. i never have this problem when i switch to wbur or when i listen through the npr app so why can't my local station create a decent app?
