The Porta Rusica mobile application presents the course of the bicycle route and the database of facilities located in the vicinity of one of the most important former trade routes running through the Polish-Slovak border.
The historic Porta Rusica trade route was established in the 19th century and traces of old technical solutions are still visible on its route. The mobile application is one of the elements of the project aimed at reviving the vicinity of the trail for tourism and presenting it to a wider audience, especially cyclists. In the mobile guide, you can find a database of objects located along the main route - about 40 km long and running from Zawóz on the Soliński Lake to the Slovak border. Selected objects can be added to the planner, thanks to which the application user will have quick access to them at any time. Places on the bicycle route, including Tourist attractions and resting shelters useful while driving, can also become the starting or destination points of a trip - the application offers route planning, an altitude profile preview, a calorie converter and a pro-ecological indicator of reducing CO2 emissions to the atmosphere. In addition to the Porta Rusica trail, the application also includes the 11 km long singletrack trail in the vicinity of Cisna.
The user of the Porta Rusica application can also view 3D panoramas of the area and check the weather forecast. Thanks to the possibility of downloading data, a continuous connection to the Internet is not required, which is especially important when moving around border areas. The content in the application has been prepared in Polish, English and Slovak.
