About this app

This app, recommended for ages four and up, is designed to get your child reading quickly.

For each lesson, your child will read and repeat a set of sight words a few times throughout the day, then read a story that includes only words from that lesson or previous lessons.

Children can progress through the lessons at their own pace. They will see a word. If they can't read it, they can click on it and it will be read to them. Then they can repeat it back for practice. The words are each introduced and then randomly practiced. It is recommended that you set up a schedule to practice the words, such as at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. After mastering the words, your child can read the story to you and also listen to the story being read.

There are more than fifty lessons, each building on the words in previous lessons. At the end, your child will be able to read beginner books, such as Dr. Suess's "Green Eggs and Ham." The sight words and stories come from the McGuffey Eclectic Primer, but the lessons have been lightly modernized.

Before beginning this course, your child should be able to recognize all of the letters of the alphabet, knowing their names and basic sounds.

If you like these lessons, be aware that they are part of a complete homeschool curriculum at allinonehomeschool.com.

New update is amazing!!! 😍 I love having the sight words at our fingertips. But this last update is seriously great. I love I can keep the review sections up while we work through lessons. I love that I can now see the words without having to click through them. I also make flash cards so this was very helpful. Thank you easy peasy for all your hard word on a great curriculum!

Works great for my 4 year old! She started last week and can read all of the words through lesson 8. I love that I can finally get this on a second device. I am not sure how I feel about the newest update yet. Before I could hand the phone to my daughter and she could navigate the app on her own, but now I think she may end up moving lessons to the done list before completion. I am glad that there is an option to reset for this reason! So far Easy Peasy Homeschooling is a win from us

My daughter is reading so well with this app! Thank you! She loves the cheering sounds at the end of each lesson, too. I like that it is simple, not flashy, and not loud. Too many apps are just too much sensory overload for little kids, but this avoids that.
