Important things you should know:

Easy Alerts are available for mobile personal banking accounts on eligible devices in which you have the Bankwest App installed and notifications enabled. Limited alerts only are available for credit products.

*Account opening time is for existing customers only opening a Bankwest Easy Transaction account

**You must be registered for SMS authentication to set up PIN login or make payments to new Pay AnyBody recipients or new BPAY billers.

***Monitoring of fraud and scams: Our systems will monitor for unusual activity. We may be in touch with you if we detect something suspicious across your accounts, so make sure your contact details are up-to-date. We encourage customers to monitor their accounts.

****We protect you from losses due to unauthorised transactions on personal and business accounts when you have complied with our terms and conditions, and neither you nor any authorised user on your behalf have contributed to the loss.

This means that if you do have a loss resulting from an unauthorised transaction in Bankwest Online Banking (including the Bankwest App), and have taken the necessary steps to stay safe online (by complying with our terms and conditions, and neither you nor an authorised user has contributed to the loss), we will reimburse you the full amount of any funds lost.

Screenshots cannot be captured within the app on Android devices, yet this functionality is available on iOS. Interestingly, other banking apps on Android do allow for screenshots. Screenshots extends beyond merely copying account details; they serve a variety of purposes **Edit** Many mobile numbers doesn't work when we want to add a new payID recipient even though the number is registered.

Whilst using the app. If they require you to change or update anything they don't tell you. No communication at all no hint or error code. You just have to keep changing random things until you figure out which one of any things they have decided you had to update or change. Imbeciles. LITERAL Tom from bankwest? Or app? That should contact them through the usual channels.... Not my usual channel? a bank? all closed down. They don't answer phone calls out of hours. So how do I pay my bills? Tom?

Unable to open app on new phone with it crashing immediately despite uninstalling and reinstalling twice - when asked for help online, told to try uninstalling and reinstalling again, then asked to contact phone manufacturer and just use online banking in the meantime - funny how this seems to be the only app that doesn't work. Can't even go into a physical branch since they've closed them all - so much for a smooth transition to digital banking only.
