Its Commented Drugs Repertory published by the "Belgian Center for Pharmacotherapeutic Information" (BCFI). The BCFI is an association recognized and subsidized by the Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products (FAMHP). The purpose of the BCFI is to provide information about medicines on the Belgian market professionals. This software application that unlocks as the website www.bcfi.be the Directory is intended for physicians, pharmacists and dentists, as well as students of these disciplines. There is a monthly update.

The purpose of the Directory is to promote the rational use of medicines. Rational use means that are available only medicines which are validated studies that adequately use these drugs (in terms of indications, contraindications, dosage, interactions ...) and that takes into account the cost. In this respect, the notion of "evidence-based pharmacotherapy" state: it is important to know what the evidence is about the risk-benefit ratio of a drug.
