About this game

🏅 Google Indie Game Festival 2022 Korea TOP3

🏈 Season 2 Starts on April 1, 2024 - https://cafe.naver.com/jiffycrew/15

🃏 Unique Roguelike Deckbuilding Strategy Single-play Role-playing Card Game

In Lost Pages, play with an entirely new and unique original deckbuilding system. The elemental deckbuilding system we've devised doesn't involve random card draws but instead requires a random draw of resources (elements of fire, water, earth, air) to use spells. This novel approach was recognized for its originality at the Google Indie Game Festival, offering a completely new deckbuilding experience.

🌈 Ether Element System

Going beyond just drawing elements, a distinctive element called Ether makes the game even more rich. The nature of the Ether element is determined at the moment it is drawn, and it always triggers a draw of another element, potentially leading to a chain draw.

🏒 Overwhelming Variation and Freedom

Lost Pages boasts an incredible number of various magic circles, artifacts, and runes. Depending on the user's choices, the deck changes freely. Such variation and freedom keep the gameplay constantly engaging, combined with the user's growing stats, offering unimaginably diverse experiences.

⚔️ 106 Levels for Endless Challenges

Clearing just the six basic levels is a significant challenge, but the 100 levels of the Dimensional Gate mode remain as a goal for players to strive for, even years after release.

🎬 Unique Story and Beautiful Animation

Lost Pages is the first installment in a series, grounded in a profound universe centered around the birth of the moon. Currently, it includes eight original animations, with more captivating story animations continuously being added.

The game is a fun deck builder similar to Slay the Spire, delivering a variety of fights with unique and challenging enemies as you climb the difficulties. It's done a lot right in making the game enjoyable while not requiring me to spend money, but until they fix a bug that causes the game to freeze on a black screen after winning a run I cannot give the game more than 3 stars for its rating.

Excellent game mechanics, beautiful esthetic. The music is decent, but there are few tracks. There is also little mechanic explanation aside from the tutorial, which you have to wander the menus to find. Most things have short explanations when tapped on, but it could do with a tad more guidance. Otherwise, a very good game. 8.6/10.

Superficially, it's a fun time waster. Unfortunately, it suffers from a few very poorly designed bosses that, in higher difficulties, revolve around a couple variations of locking down your cards in escalating quantities, either literally or by increasing your cooldowns until your cards are unusable, essentially just not letting you play while providing little to no counterplay for this tactic. Give it a try, but I wouldn't recommend investing too heavily.
