About this game

The main purpose of the game is to show the user what the global climate change and ecological footprint is, the effect this footprint will have on our World and how these effects can be improved, in an educational and entertaining way.
The game consists of 3 parts;
- In the first part, the ecological footprint test is solved, and as a result of the test, the user is shown how many Earths his consumption is.
- In the second part, a story is told about how the world would be affected by this consumption in the coming centuries if everyone made a similar consumption.
- In the 3rd section, information is given to the User about his consumption. It explains what causes this consumption and how this situation can be improved.
In order to increase the access and ease of use of the game for each individual, the texts in our game have been voiced.

Tubitak Report Project Summary:

With our study, we aimed to ensure that high school students, who are responsible consumers of natural resources and constitute the majority of our population, participate in urgent climate action by guiding them to raise awareness about the effects of various consumption choices in daily life on our planet, to contribute to reducing the impact of climate change, and to gain conscious practices, attitudes and behaviors in their daily lives. Through the educational interactive game application we have designed for this purpose, it is aimed to identify the positive and negative scenarios that can be caused by the effects of human behavior on the climate in daily life and to show them with fun. Our game users will be able to understand how to get rid of possible bad scenarios, how to improve and improve the good scenarios, and ultimately how to create a more sustainable planet. Therefore, it is aimed to show how we can play an active role on an individual scale in reducing the ecological footprint in daily life. Thanks to our game, which can be downloaded for free on Android devices, and can be played easily without internet, it will be ensured that the person realizes how the preferences of using the environment in daily life have an impact, and participates in the emergency action plan. Thanks to our simple, practical and educational game, we plan every user to become a “climate literate” in the future. It is the original aspect of our project that it gives a survey that calculates the ecological footprint in the game and displays the results visually in a visual and impressive scenario right after the game. Thus, we will individually produce solutions to our problem sentence "While meeting the consumption needs of the person in daily life, the natural environment can change the usage preferences by negatively affecting the climate", and we will ensure that a better future comes with our reduced footprint. With our work, we will contribute to climate change mitigation, adaptation to climate change, mitigation and early warning under the title of climate action, one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, by raising awareness and improving human and institutional capacity.
