About this app

It gives you a rough idea of how long it will take to read. There is a function to estimate how many seconds it will take, and a timer to measure how long it actually takes to read aloud. You can also see the number of words.

It is as easy and simple to use as a to‑do list.

About 50 languages are supported, and you can set the language in which the note is written to display a more accurate time estimate.

You can protect your privacy with the password feature.

There is also a backup function that allows you to save your notes to the device’s local storage.

■ Functions
- Note function (can be used like a to‑do list)
- Estimates the time it will take to read a message
- Character count
- Password protection
- Language selection (around 50 languages)
- Backup function

■ Use cases
- Speakers delivering speeches, presentations and announcements
Knowing how long it takes to read a speech, presentation or announcement aloud lets you estimate the total duration and whether you will finish within the allotted time.

It can also be used to help improve your speech, presentation and delivery skills. You can track how long your presentations take to monitor your progress. The app also lets you record the content of your presentation, which you can use to recall material later and to review your delivery.

■ Review from a user who tried it

1. My presentation skills have improved considerably since I started using this app. By recording how long it takes me to give a presentation, I can keep track of my presentation length and adjust my pace accordingly. Recording what I presented and the materials I used has been very helpful for later recall.

I used this app when I struggled to keep my presentation under 10 minutes due to a time limit at university. The app gives a rough estimate of how many seconds it will take and you can also record the actual time it took you to read it. I draft notes to get a rough idea of the timing, then use the timer to measure my speaking speed more precisely. Since using this app, I’ve been able to assemble my presentations much faster and haven’t gone over time.
