The GRIT app is a valuable resource for anyone who might experience GBV in South Africa. It provides a safe and confidential way to report abuse and can connect anyone with the support they need. The app is also free to download and free to use.

Emergency help: Panic button for immediate armed response and tracking dispatched in under 8 minutes, once panic is activated it live-streams 20 seconds of audio evidence which then gets stored in your evidence vault. Your emergency contacts will be notified that you pressed the panic button.
Support network: We provide a database of local support services to help find support near you such as counselling, shelters and legal aid. Connect to our Whatsapp Helpline for extra support (guidance, help with reporting, and link to our probonon kegal team) at 072 737 8819.
Building your case: Securely store evidence (photos, documents, videos) for potential prosecution in a vault for up to 10 years! We have worked with the National Prosecuting Authority to ensure your evidence holds weight in court.
