AlertGBV is a free digital tool, available in French and English, allowing survivors and people exposed to Gender-Based Violence to find assistance online through a platform including:
- A chatbot or automated messaging system allowing survivors to express themselves confidentially and find help;
- Resources and information raising awareness on GBV (laws, statutes, statistics, etc.);
- Support contacts from associations, psychologists and lawyers;
- Free support services for survivors;
- And more.
Above all, the platform allows survivors to receive the appropriate help they need, in relation to their situation. In its test phase, the website already recorded more than 3,000 visits, and the chatbot has already received around thirty testimonials from survivors with more than ten
of people to whom she was able to offer direct support. AlertGBV is beginning its deployment phase in several African countries, including Cameroon, Chad and South Africa. It intends to develop by allowing individuals in Africa and abroad to offer assistance packs to victims or even companies to benefit from training and awareness sessions on GBV in the workplace.
