TLDR: Works as well as my magnetic stud finder. Works when testing vs screw driver, but hard to use for wall studs. Biggest problem is that it needs an activate button pressed in order to work and my finger keeps sliding off. It seems to sort of work when held with fingers in the back and that fixes the finger sliding off the activate button problem. My magnetic stud finder sort of works also, so it's just as good as that. BEST FEATURE: It doesn't collect any user info. No permissions are used.

I have an old stud detector and it can be really frustrating to use. I decided to try one of these, and this is the only one who's reviews look like real people left them. Surprisingly, it works. I've done some electrical work on this wall and I kind of know where the studs are, but I absolutely have to "nail" the locations so that I can nail some paneling to the wall. I'm pretty happy. It's confirmed my expected locations and been close to right on. Not bad for an old app for free. Pixel7.

I needed to find the pvc cable pipe mid-wall, i attached small magnets to the wire threader and used this app to track it's path. It worked exceptionally well, I was able to dig in within 1 cm of the reading. Honestly surprised and happy it worked so well with minimal effort and no additional cost. Great work devs! I suggest adding a lock option to the activate button, it would make it a little easier to trace in tight spots.
