The Garage Museum team has developed and is presenting a free family app - Russia's first dictionary of contemporary art terms in Russian sign language for children.
RSL Museum for Children ”is an educational application with videos and illustrations, from which children (alone or together with adults) can learn more about both the Garage Museum and the art world in general.
The game mechanics of the application makes the process of acquiring knowledge fun for the child, and the intuitive interface allows using the application without the help of adults. Each term is demonstrated through short videos where deaf children teach their peers about the art in sign language. All videos are also supported by interactive illustrations. The appendix uses illustrations by the artist David Boehm from the book How the Museum Works.
