Works much better than the official Ember app. However, notifications seem to be a bit buggy. Set my mug temp and set my phone down to work. When I picked my phone up an hour later, I suddenly got 30+ notifications that my mug had reached its target temperature. Think the app needs some polish on notifications when the phone is idling. Not sure if it's Doze or another battery saving feature baked into Android, but something is causing the app to go to sleep and then suddenly try and catch up.

Yeah you are right, it needs some "spit and shine". I will fix the notifications and add some cool new features soon.

Bought this because it supposedly fixes issues with the stock app. And while it does connect to the mug now, it has issues of its own. First the LED color in the app but it doesn't seem to stick and defaults back to white. Second you can't change then brightness of the LED like you can in the stock app, which is annoying. Lastly it seems to have issues powering OFF the mug. I hit the heater off button in the app but then a few seconds later the mug turns back on. I would wait on buying this.

Y'all, it's a morning coffee miracle. I love my Ember mug and have been so frustrated by the app crashing, disconnecting, not syncing properly...and recently not even opening. But this app does everything the original was supposed to do. It shows remaining battery life, includes preset temps, and accurately tracks the temp. The heater on/off button is great. There's plenty to worry about during the day, but I love that remembering to reheat my coffee isn't one of them. (I have an Ember Mug 2)
