Ratings and reviews

I dont normally write app reviews but I'm compelled to do so for this app, only because it has potential but misses the mark hugely. The collection they have is amazing and their UI is great too. Fairly easy to pick up and get used to. But sadly the app is riddled with bugs, so many bugs, that the experience is really bad. Podcasts do not play in the background for too long. The controls aren't very responsive. Several News feeds are not readable beyond a certain point for some reason.

I recently downloaded this app after listening to the constinuos ads on Pocketcast. I have listened to a few podcasts till now, but there are two things that irks me about the app : 1.) I can't remove the notification of the app, even when I am not listening to anything. It has just "leeched" in the notification panel. 2.) I can control the podcast from the music controls of my earphones. As in I can play/pausc from the controls of my earphones. Tried with every earphone I have.

The explore tab is broken. The mail ID given in the app is broken. The developer doesn't respond to tweets. In other words, the app is broken and there's no feedback option. Really unfortunate for such a good looking app. Edit:- As the developer noted, the last update finally fixed the loading issue. A more diverse collection would help, but the app looks functional as of now.
