About this app

***The HanseMerkur ServiceApp with many new functions***

Please note that after an update of the billing app, you will need to register again so that you have access to your documents and can use the app's functions. This results from modernized security mechanisms in the app.

The ServiceApp is available to all those insured by HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung AG as well as customers with animal surgery insurance and animal health insurance from HanseMerkur Allgemeine AG. The app will gradually be opened up for other insurance areas.

Use the app to e.g. E.g. doctor or veterinary bills, prescriptions, medical documents and other documents relating to your contract can be submitted quickly and easily online.

Discover our various personalized insurance services, such as: B. Change contact and bank details, request certificates or grant powers of attorney as well as - depending on your insurance coverage - the various health services.

FUNCTIONS

Submission:
Send us all documents relating to your contracts conveniently using various options (photo function, barcode scan or PDF upload). You also have the option of collecting receipts in the ServiceApp and submitting them at a later date, for example if you B. still waiting for a billing or a corresponding document is missing.

Digital invoice receipt:
Bills from your doctor or dentist can be received digitally in the mailbox of your ServiceApp. You will receive almost all letters from us about your contract encrypted in your digital mailbox, where you can sort and filter them, but e.g. B. can also print and forward.

Various personalized insurance services:
These are displayed or hidden depending on the insurance coverage and are always pre-assigned with all the data known to HanseMerkur:

- Change contact details (e.g. name, address, telephone, email)
- Change bank details
- Deposit powers of attorney
- Request an addendum to the insurance certificate
- Request tax office certificate
- Request a clinic card
- Contacting the app
- Arrange callback appointments
- Health services

Products:
Information about all HanseMerkur products can be accessed directly from the app's start menu. Many products also offer a direct online option.

Synchronization:
You can use the app on multiple devices at the same time. All documents received in the mailbox for your account as well as all receipts submitted via the app are displayed synchronously in all registered devices.

SECURITY

The standard for security is very high because your health data is sensitive and therefore needs to be fully protected. All documents are therefore stored securely encrypted in the app.

The registration process has been optimized in accordance with the latest data protection regulations and requires a one-time registration with email address, password, insurance number and PIN.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to use the ServiceApp, you need an active contract in the area of ​​health insurance or animal health or animal surgery insurance.

At least Android 10 must be installed on your smartphone. We guarantee support in the event of an error starting with Android 12.

The app says that new version is available (sounds like an option), but in fact forces to update. New version is huge (75MB) and therefore slow. "What is new" promises "improvements and bugfixes". However, one has to register to start using app, which takes at least 2 days, instead of intended 3 min to submit a bill. Error processing is miserable with messages like "something went wrong". For such a low-quality app and forcing to loose customer time the compensation should be paid out.

It is a poorly designed app. A UX designer could have been a useful support when deciding what features to include... It doesn't consider the user's need at all. The contact feature is just a list of info. Useful features like seeing my contracts didn't cross your designer's mind. The app quits and requests password again every minute. Uploading image not supported. Just to mention a few defects... It is a senseless app, but once you downloaded, messages come only within the app,you must keep it

The app is very baaaad. 1- no English support 2- no multiple accounts support because i have my private health and my dog health insurance with you, i have to usw two freaking accounts. Its so inconvenient that in 2024, you have to send a bank transaction for a pin. Have you heard of OTP via phone? Matter of fact, you are not even a banking app, why do you require all this verification? You got nothing to prove. Edit: You can't even use two separate acc on same device. Ridiculous
