Cats are Liquid - A Light in the Shadows is a 2D platformer about a cat with the ability to transform into liquid.

The game has 90 levels, that are spread across 9 different worlds. It has a minimalistic but colorful style. Along the way the game introduces new mechanics, like flying and summoning bombs to break down walls.

The story is about a cat whose owner locked her in a set of rooms. She desperately wants to get out, but the rooms just keep continuing. Along the way the cat meets a new "friend" and gains new abilities. The story is told through small in game text pieces.

There is a glitch in I believe the final reset level where you can slip into the wall if you push down while headed toward the trampoline stick thing by going behind it, but if you jump up to the top again, you go back to normal. Other than that, amazing game with cool and simple to use mechanics and awesome storyline. Please make another sequel or a similar game

My applause, the gameplay is good (I like how you actually look like liquid as opposed to in ABP), the story is very good (I really like the intriguing and abstract storyline), and love being able to come up with theories and try to explain the full timeline. Would that more games had cool lore, great story, and good gameplay like this. [I'm a big fan of all the intrigue with the Purple One. I enjoyed coming up with a very complex explanation for the timeline and enigmatic stuff, including him]

Although the game is definitely constant with ABL certain glitches are caused by the liquidity of the cat. While being next to objects really close, I'm able to spam jump (which launches me) rather than keeping still. Controls are finicky as they sometimes don't register. The game is still really cute and should be tried as well as great for speedrunning but the liquid part causes problems.

- Fixed game being completely non-responsive on Android 13.
