Take Back Your Privacy

Hex Launcher does not contain trackers, analytics, or data gathering mechanisms; it can't even connect to the internet. With Hex Launcher, what happens on your home screen stays on your phone.
If you want to help the developer, you can choose to enable on device logging and provide bug reports via email. These options are off by default. Your phone and your data are yours.

Ratings and reviews

I like this launcher for thenprivacy, but cannot get it to work on my pixel 8. There is a forced tutorial where I get stuck, because it asks me to try out the feature "Customize your apps". But there are no apps to customize, and I cannot proceed. Tried setting it as default launcher and installing apps, but they aren't added to the home screen so again, there is nothing to customize. Please help.

The most intuitive and fluid launcher I've ever used, and literally since I've downloaded it on a previous phone has dominated as the only one I can use. Casts a shadow over the competition and is FOSS. Thank you to the humble developer. Only feedback from me regarding further improvement is a minor, petty bug (maybe not even with Hex; very well could be Android/Samsung) in which every now and then the wallpaper is suddenly reset to the lame default stock one, and I can't change in app. Worth it

Good fundamentals, but needs better customization. On the s22 ultra the gesture wheel is too small to see. Icons are mostly covered by my thumb, and no way to resize it. Theres no clear way to disable the greyscale shortcut icons in the wheel. Dragging up brings up a search, theres no way to turn that into an app drawer, that's only available through a few extra steps. You are always limited to the 8 gesture shortcuts, no option to add additional outer rings or folders which expand the wheel.
