Neustadtgödens is in the unique situation that many buildings that are reminiscent of the Jewish community, such as the former synagogue, the mikveh and the school, can still be found in the village. There are also buildings and squares that commemorate the exclusion and ultimately the expulsion of the last Jews from Neustadtgödens. With the cemetery about 1.5 kilometers away, all the important facilities of a Jewish community were available in the village.
The virtual tour makes the stories hidden behind the buildings and squares accessible to an interested public. Thus, Jewish life can be dealt with in practically all of its facets. There is also interesting information about the castle in Gödens and the grass house in Horsten in the vicinity of Neustadtgödens. A virtual reconstruction of the former synagogue makes an important contribution to the documentation of Jewish life in Neustadtgödens. In addition, two radio plays add to the significance but also the decline of this unique Jewish community.
