Ratings and reviews

I previously rated the game 5 stars many years ago because I loved it: the gameplay, the look, everything. Haven't played it in a bit and decided to hop on today. It wanted me to consent to all these things including ads and targeted ads. As if ads weren't bad enough, I'd sooner not have them targeted. It wouldn't let me go on so I un-installed the game. Sad, as it's one of the first things I put on any new phone I've had in the last 12ish years. I'd have glady paid $ once for the game :(

Great Game, Ruined. This was once my go-to word game. It has a diverse and challenging vocabulary DB; but recently they revised the game limiting free-use to 5 games and only allowing weekly or monthly paid membership for unlimited use. They should, at least, offer, if not a one-time purchase fee, a reasonable yearly fee.

I gave this five star review in 2016 after I'd been playing this game for 3 years. Now in 2024, I'm changing it to 2 stars because even though they've fixed a lot of bugs in the last week since the update, the monetization is still ridiculous. I get there is service to maintain but the price is too high. You get 5 free games in 24 hours. To play more you have to watch an ad each time or pay for an expensive monthly subscription. Update: changed 1 star because they've done nothing in 6 months.
