About this app

It was ‘Sancharam’ that presented exploratory trips in their fullness in Indian visual media for the first time. Santhosh George Kulangara, the globetrotter, started his solo journeys outside India in 1997. He has already travelled through more than hundred countries, spanning the seven continents, with his camera.

The wonderful experiences and splendid sights of those journeys were telecast by Asianet as ‘Sancharam’, a realistic visual travelogue. The viewers, who have always been fond of travel and knowledge, welcomed ‘Sancharam’ with great exuberance.

In his turn, Santhosh George went about capturing in his camera the sights of the various lands, which the viewers haven’t seen and presented before them the diversity of world countries, as they longed to see. After 16 years since he had started travelling, ‘Sancharam’ has turned out to be an exclusive, round-the-clock exploration channel. And that is Safari.

Thus, Safari has a unique history of transforming itself from a half-an-hour travelogue programme telecast once in a week into a 24 X 7 channel. Safari is a channel that brings the diversity of the global expanse to the visiting room of every Malayalee. This is the first exploration channel in India.Safari presents diverse programmes that provide entertainment and knowledge alike.

World travels, Indian travels, numerous other journeys, history, geography, culture, art and adventure- all come before the viewers through this. The curiosity to know ‘what is beyond that’ is the real motive of all the explorations of mankind. The objective of Safari is to inspire each and every viewer to take up travels, both short and extensive, for experiencing and learning the world. Travels that take the viewer along... That is the ultimate objective of this channel.

I used to watch sancharam since my childhood. When you launched the channel I was very happy, and after that safari moved to the next level by laughing their application. I truly appreciate that, it helps me to watch my favourite shows whenever I want. There is an issue with the app I would like to point out the live tv is working properly, but when it comes to the old episodes it is buffering a lot. I believe that the team will fix it on the next update.

For the past 1 week I couldn't see any of the old episodes of any programme in Safari App. I don't why such an issue occurred all of a sudden. Message I am getting while playing is "An error occurred while intializing the YouTube player". I don't know whether this issue happens only for me, but the Live session is working fine. I hope your technical team resolve this issue with immediate effect.

I am an avid viewer of Safari channel. It's unfortunate to tell you that a problem has occurred recently in the app. Sancharam episodes are not properly uploaded to this after telecast is over. Morocco was the last country. But , after 11th episode, no update has been done. Now, Yemen is being aired in TV channel. We depend on app as we are expatriates having less opportunity to watch them on time.
