Ratings and reviews

I hate leaving bad reviews but this is warranted. This used to be one of my favorite smart apps for garage control and have been using it since 2017 but now it's pretty much useless. Just Drive and notifications have been broken for months and these features were essential on a daily basis. I don't know what happened and even though customer service is polite and responsive, I haven't gotten much answers lately except for "our devs are looking into it". 😕

Setting up the physical devices was pretty straightforward. The problem is with the app and getting everything to connect properly. I had to run through the registration process 3 times before the app would let me add the device. Getting it to pair to the door sensor seemed to work at first, but then the app would always show a status of the door being opened, even when it read closed. Lastly, Google Assistant integration does not seem to work at all.

June 7 update did not fix auto open bug. Still won't auto open. This is a very buggy app. In the history it will show door openings as closings, won't perform auto open 70% of the time, give error messages in your notification panel that don't give any info, etc. My grandmother could have written a better app. I think it is time to find an alternative to nexx garage. So much potential...so little actual delivered.
