The Speechling Method

With a foundation in our mission, the Speechling Method uses a combination of technology and human coaching to help our students learn new languages.

Personal Feedback

As a personal tutoring service, our certified pronunciation coaches give feedback on your speaking within 24 hours. Advanced students can answer a question or describe an image, and we will give feedback similar to what a private tutor will provide.

Unlike other for-profit companies, our coaching is also free - but because it has significant overhead costs, we charge just enough to cover our costs and for those who demonstrate that they cannot afford that price, we provide full scholarships.

Ratings and reviews

This may be the perfect software for solo language learning. To recall and repeat instantly and self test that way is amazing. Problem is after a few questions, the whole record button is stuck in a cycle, so now i cant use it. I have 1 gigabit internet at home. Please fix this, its too good to pass up! Also add a lot more phrases. Thanks guys!

This is my go to app for passive listening, translation practice, and pronunciation practice. I prefer the record and compare approach to live instruction as it is less pressure and you can work it out over and over until you're happy. The free version has more capability than most paid apps. I'm advanced enough to do the freestyle speaking mode so it's time to upgrade to premium. I like that the company is a non profit. Finally, this app (and companion website) are world's better than glossika.

I haven't opened the app, but, this sentence from your description won me over: "Unlike other for-profit companies, our platform is entirely free - for eternity." I don't know how you're making money, but thank you! Update: you're making money from the premium. I can't afford this, either. I know, you got to pay for the coaches so it's not a deal breaker and what you do give for free is pretty awesome. I sure wish the journal was free, though.
