PAD places is a privacy-protecting encrypted location sharing app. It enhances your personal safety whilst preventing snooping by companies, institutions or individual not authorised by you. Many companies that offer location-sharing and tracking apps collect and use your data to establish behavioural patterns for a range of aims, including monetary gain. PAD places is different. It gives you control over who can see your location; and it tells you when someone checks where you are. In other location-sharing apps, people can often locate you without your knowledge. With PAD places there is no snooping. PAD places safely "locks away" your location and provides the keys to people you choose - your angel - like a friend or relative. With PAD places you can be an angel and a contact.

As a contact:
- Add as many angels as you like by showing a unique QR code to your angel or by sharing an invite with your angel
- Receive alerts when your location is unlocked by an angel
- See a log of when your angel last viewed your location
- Remove an angel's location access at any time
- Allow the app to run in the background, have no fear as the location data is encrypted and private
- Battery saving mode is set to default and significantly reduces your battery usage by updating your location every 15 minutes

As an angel:
- Only view your contact's location if permission has been granted to you
- Once requested and then decrypted, your contact's location will show on the map
- See a log of when you have viewed your contact's location
