The app aims to increase pedestrian traffic. It records the good and bad for everyday walking: paths that are too narrow, dangerous crossings, idyllic green paths and much more. It's easy to use: Check the position - take a photo - record the topic for criticism or praise with two clicks - send.
The app is suitable for private use as well as for professional pedestrian traffic checks. Everything captured appears on a public web map, can be filtered and exported. The walking qualities can be visualized and analyzed for each city, for each village, but also for individual streets and districts.
The app is not a defect reporter for sudden potholes or failed traffic lights. Rather, it is a transport policy instrument: everyone should be able to use it to record what they like or dislike while walking. This makes it clear where cities and municipalities need to take action - but also what strengths they can cultivate and develop.
The development of the app is funded by the Federal Environment Agency. It is operated by the FUSS e.V. Association for Foot Traffic in Germany.
