La Devesa School presents an innovative educational project; We train our students in 21st century skills and non-cognitive skills that we consider essential for long-term success, both personally and professionally.
From Early Childhood we work with our students in “Learning Environments”, through which they carry out different activities focused on the development of multiple intelligences and seeking the acquisition of personal autonomy.
In the first grades of primary school and under the “Digital Kids” project, our students work on interdisciplinary projects created by the teachers themselves that promote the acquisition of both skills and content.
“Digital Tools” is not an exclusively technological project, but rather, a project that pursues change in the way of learning and teaching focused on the development of these skills. Thanks to the application of technologies in the classroom, students become autonomous, managers of their training, of the effort and responsibility necessary to organize their work and time, extending learning to any time and place.
“Digital Tools” implies a new way of working. Among other resources, our students from 4th grade onwards have a device (one per student and for individual use) to get the most out of our methodology. A very important objective is to train students from an early age for effective learning by providing them with the tools, study techniques and learning strategies that prepare them to learn to learn autonomously for the rest of their lives, but also in the construction of thought processes, emotional intelligence and social values that
allow them in the future to achieve professional and personal success and become citizens capable of contributing to the improvement of society.
Our Innovation Department is dedicated to researching and adapting these methodologies to our reality in the classrooms and the characteristics of our educational community, developing our own methodologies that demonstrate our commitment to the most innovative educational excellence.
