Digital Log-books for Lifts and Escalators

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) launched the Mobile App “Digital Log-books for Lifts and Escalators” (Digital Log-books) to digitize lift/escalator works record, replacing the conventional paper-bound log-books. The Digital Log-books allows the responsible persons for lifts/escalators, the trade and the government to record, manage and analyse in real time lift/escalator-related information, facilitating tripartite monitoring/management of lift/escalator works for enhancing work efficiency and safety.

Main Features:
- Blockchain Technology: Blockchain technology is applied in the storage of works records to ensure the transparency and authenticity of the information
- Secure Login: Trade practitioners and responsible persons could login efficiently and securely by iAM Smart or biometric authentication
- Quick Access: Trade practitioners could simply scan the QR code on the Use Permit for quick access to relevant digital log-books
- Photo-taking Function: Trade practitioners could capture and upload images to record the operational conditions of each component
- Easy Management: Trade practitioners and responsible persons could search, filter and view works records efficiently. Graphical details of works are also provided for easy understanding of the tasks conducted.
- Smart notifications: Smart notifications would be popped up accordingly to remind trade practitioners and Responsible Persons to conduct various statutory/important tasks
