WHAT IS ROAD CARE?
ROAD CARE Mobile App is the mobile communication platform enable the Cambodian road users to directly report major potholes and damaged road to authorities for maintenance.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport launched “Road Care Mobile App”, a new mobile app which can be downloaded free of charge by the public for their smart phones.
Road Care Mobile App allows road users to directly report a pothole or damaged road to authorities to repair the road in a timely manner.
The information, which will be reported through the App by uploading photos or video clips, will feed directly to a task force team at the Ministry and be disseminated to all 25 Provincial Departments of Public Works and Transport and other relevant authorities for repair.
The goal is to improve road conditions that require road repair and maintenance nationally, through pothole and damaged road reports by road users.
Demonstrating the government’s commitment to build and maintain better road conditions for our road users, the Road Care Mobile App will be a co-operative effort involving all authorities in charge of road maintenance within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and 25 local government agencies. The mobile app will serve over 75 national roads, all roads within Phnom Penh, and roads within 24 provinces.
The Road Care Mobile App will contribute to the country’s growth and development, reducing traffic accidents caused by potholes and damaged roads, and enable road users to drive and ride on the country’s road networks safely.
