Sheikh Sayyid Muhammad al-Naqshbandi (January 7, 1920 - February 14, 1976)
Professor of praisers, and owner of a distinguished school in supplications, one of the most famous singers and worshipers in the history of religious chanting. He has a voice that musicians see as one of the strongest and widest voices in the history of recordings.
The word “Naqshbandi” is made up of two syllables: “Naqsh” and “Bandi” and its meaning in the Arabic language is: the heart, that is: the inscription of God’s love on the heart. The inscription is an item in Persian, which is the painter or the engraver, and the Naqshbandi is related to a group of Sufis known as the Naqshbandi and attributed to their Sheikh Baha al-Din Naqshband who died in 791 AH.
