Your Personal Waste Guide - Crystal clear about your waste at your address.

Your municipality wants to organize waste collection as well as possible and optimally informs you as a resident. The traditional waste calendar is a search picture for many people, but with the AfvalWijzer app you can easily view your personalized waste calendar at any time.

The participating municipalities are committed to making the living environment more sustainable, for example by separating household waste as well as possible and by consciously dealing with raw materials such as paper and plastic. In this app you will also receive tips to separate your waste as well as possible and you can also share tips yourself.

All you have to do is enter your postcode and house number once. From that moment on, the Waste Guide will show you a tailor-made waste overview.

If you use notifications you have the choice of the evening before, or the morning of the collection day. This notification is sent around 7 o'clock in the evening or around 7 o'clock in the morning.

The app has recently stopped showing notifications. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but the problem persists. The notification permission is given, and the time is set for 18:00, but I don't get any notifications. Update: It was fixed for a couple of weeks, and today I missed the garbage collection truck because the app didn't give notifications again. Really useless.

UPD 25-09-2024: notifications are back! No notifications anymore. I checked app permissions, notifications, reinitiated notification time in the app: nothing helps. So, I missed a few garbage collections, because I was relying on this app, which was working fine for almost a year. I hope, they can fix it. Build version is 4.1.1 (82), Tekstuele inhoud is 03/09/2024.

Pretty useless and unreliable. I only used it for the notifications and now that's broke again. Now I have to add it to my private calender which is not always a 100% reflection especially with bank holidays etc.
