About this app

ResidentMIDIKeyboard for Android is a virtual MIDI keyboard application for Android. You can either connect to MIDI output device to send MIDI messages, or have your DAW connected to this app as a virtual MIDI input device so that the DAW can receive MIDI inputs from this app.

It can stick to the screen so that you can use it over the home screen, your DAW, or any other kind of application.

It supports MIDI 1.0 and 2.0 June 2023 Updates.

It supports "Expression Mode": instead of switching keys on the dragged locations, we can send pitch bend messages for horizontal dragging, per-note pitch bend messages for vertical dragging, and polyphonic (key) pressures for pressure changes on the device.

It also contains controllers for various MIDI messages such as CC, RPN and NRPN, Per-Note Controllers (Registered or Assignable) in MIDI 2.0 etc.

ResidentMIDIKeyboard is fully open source. Check out the GitHub project for more details: https://github.com/atsushieno/resident-midi-keyboard
