About this game
The app's Learning Machines aim to train the automation in the first, basic ability to voice letters into words. It also aims to consolidate the relationship between letters and sounds.
Children start reading at different ages so the app can be fun for children from 5 years old and up.
In READ MASKIN, we only have words with two or three sounds to add a solid foundation. We also use "words" that do not mean anything (we call them bus words) but that could be Swedish words. This makes the child aware that you have to read exactly as it says because you do not know what it will be and therefore can not guess.

The app has 4 different "machines" that you can play to practice reading short words and 2 activities to consolidate the letter-audio connection.
Real words are symbolized by an Owl and Busword of a Bus Figure.

alphabet
We use a principle where each letter and language sounds have an image that can be associated with the sound. The worm fights the sssss, the mouse beeps iiiii. If you can not read and have difficulty listening the first sound in a word, it is not natural to associate the letter o with a worm or the letter m with a mouse. On the other hand, it is natural for children to remember that the worm fights ssss and the mouse is piping iiii.

Memory with language sounds and language sounds that confirm the knowledge of which sounds and letters that belong.
Machine 1
There are only words and bus words with 2 sounds. The machine has 6 levels.
Levels 1 and 2 have words with sounds that are sound that you can hold out and that makes them easy to sound together.

Reading machines are developed with production support from the Special Education School Authority.
