Playdoit's Pong on Hard difficulty is designed so that straightforward returns cannot beat the AI alone. The opponent's paddle moves fast enough to cover flat shots, making the spin mechanic the primary route to scoring points at the highest level.

To score with spin, you need to position your paddle so the ball strikes its outer edge rather than the center. The resulting deflection sends the ball at a steeper angle than the AI anticipates based on your paddle position, giving it less time to reposition.

Combining spin with ball acceleration is the advanced technique. By sustaining a rally until the ball reaches peak speed, then applying a spin hit at that velocity, you produce a very fast, sharply angled shot that requires the AI to cover both distance and speed simultaneously.

Spin also works defensively. When the AI sends a fast return down the center, a slight edge hit returns the ball at a wide angle rather than sending it straight back to the AI's waiting paddle, breaking a predictable exchange pattern.
